Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English musician and singer who goes under the stage name Jessie J. Jessie has gained notoriety early due to her unusual music style that is a blend of soul, hip-hop, pop, and electropop. In addition to her many accolades, she was selected for the 2011 "Critics' Choice Brit Award" and for the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her career started at the age of 11 in 2002 when Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the show Whistle Down the Wind. In the following years, she was part of the National Youth Music Theater' and appeared in the production by the theater The Late Sleepers which debuted in 2002. She gained a lot of attention by releasing her debut album "Who You Are'. In the UK alone, the album sold 105,000 units, while in the US the number was 34,000. It topped the charts at number 2 in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie has also earned a reputation as a charitable person and has been involved with charities like 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
