McKayla Rose Maroney also known as 'Mack Air Maroney" is a well-known American athlete who has won two medals during the Summer Olympic Games of 2012 Silver for individual gymnastics in the vault and a gold with her team. Because of the involvement of her parents in sports, McKayla Maroney was able to pursue gymnastics at a young age. She specializes in vaulting and she is the only gymnast to succeed in defending her gold medal, which she first won at the 2011 World Championship, and later, she won it at the 2013 Championship. It was not a pleasant experience with the silver medal she won for vault at the 2012 Olympics and wanted to have another shot at gold in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. However, due to injury and other health issues she was forced to announce her retirement from gymnastics prior to the Olympic Games commenced. In addition to gymnastics, she's been featured in several TV shows and plans to debut as a singer. McKayla is set for an exciting future. She has become an internet star and a skilled sportsperson.
