Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigerian American pro basketball player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being drafted to the Wings as the fifth overall selection for the 2019 WNBA. Ogunbowale has won gold at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was selected to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after hitting several big shots at the NCCA Tournament.
